Repeal of CLASS Program Backed by House Committee

The House Ways and Means Committee approved, 23-13, a bill (HR 1173) that would repeal Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) program. One committee Democrat, Ron Kind of Wisconsin, joined a united GOP caucus to vote for the repeal. The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved the bill in November by a vote of 33-17.
